Insight
In 2017, Capital One introduced its acclaimed Money Coaching service, offering complimentary personalized life and financial mentoring sessions to customers at Capital One cafes throughout the United States. The program's outcomes were exceptional for a financial institution, consistently receiving customer satisfaction ratings of 95% or higher post-session. However, attempts to expand the program's reach through digital products that could be cost-effectively scaled proved challenging, as coaches often preferred traditional pen-and-paper tools over newer digital versions.
Project
As the senior product designer for Capital One's money and life program, I collaborated with a cross-functional team of engineers, designers, and coaches to address early adoption challenges and successfully launch the digital money coaching experience. A one of a kind apple pencil driven educational coaching app, featuring realistic card mechanics and a suite of 6 financial and life tools.
Custom illustrations, natural tones, and physical material properties bring each session and tool to life, ensuring each experience is unique and memorable.
Complete each session using a robust collection of realistic, creative, and multi-tasking digital features.
Set real life goals throughout each session that easily syncs with the clients’ personal calendars and notifications after the session is complete.
Manage the coaching experience with the help of the Assistant Coach, a powerful tool that makes it easy for each coach to stay in control of their day.
